Hardware Specification

  • A PC equipped to run Microsoft Visio 2013 or 2016.
    • 1.0 GHz or faster processor
    • 2 GB RAM for 32-bit (x86) processors or 4 GB for 64-bit (x64) processors

Software Specification

  • Windows 8.1 or later
  • Microsoft Visio 2013 or 2016. We recommend the latest service pack is installed.
  • .NET Framework 4.6 including these components:
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended

What are the Minimum Requirements for the Triaster System On-Premises?

Triaster Server (Test or Live server)

Triaster Server is for publishing and serving Triaster Process Libraries.

Hardware Specification

  • A server running Windows Server 2012 R2 or 2016, with:
    • 50 GB is usually ample, but this will depend on the volume of content.
    • 2.0 GHz processor or faster
    • 4 GB RAM or greater

Software Specification

  • Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2016. Various features and roles will needed to enabled as part of the set-up process these are listed below and are described separately in the set-up document.
    • IIS 7 or later, and required features.
  • Microsoft Visio 2013 or 2016
    • We recommend the latest service pack is installed.
    • SP1 for Visio 2013 resolves an issue where the display of text in published maps is of poor quality.
    • Visio should be activated on the server.
  • All authors and the server should use the same version.
  • A user account for running Triaster services that has the following properties:
    • Password never expires or changes.
    • Should only be accessed for installation, configuration, upgrade and support purposes.
    • Should have full permissions on the Triaster installation folders.
    • Should have the "Run as a Service" right. This right is usually set if the user is a member of the local Administrators group.

File Server

File Server is used for storing the process maps.

Hardware Specification

  • Standard file server, no minimum requirements.
  • Disk Space - Most customers require 10 GB or less, however, it depends on the number of maps and libraries. Some customers use 50 GB and others use more.

End User PC

The Process Library can be viewed on all modern browsers and devices

Hardware Specification

  • Same as for IE 10 or later

Software Specification

  • Internet Explorer 10 or later.
